French Champagne Basket

This is a particularly lovely basket, with beautiful twisted, wicker details along the sides.

Used by the grape pickers in the Champagne region, in the early 1900’s. It carries the insignia “G” from a branding iron at the top and “GD” in paint, signifying the vineyard it belonged to.

Perfect to host logs by the fire.
