Woodland Terrace
Brighton, East Sussex
“A rustic, reimagined lost dwelling in the woods” was the brief we created with our lovely client, for this project.
Through the combination of local timber, reclaimed materials and woodland planting, we created a comfortable space with a distinctive sense of place and a universal sense of nature.
Gallery
A tranquil, forest feel, with seven layers of compatible plants working together, from the canopy level to the ground cover. Lush and in many shades of green. Creating a woodland ambience, where the changing light contrasts with the shade in the planting layers.
Locally cut decking, from a sustainable Sussex coppice. Roundwood timber features.
Rural relics, such as this 150 year old stone trough, serve as a subtle tribute to the textures and tones, that make up the palette of the English countryside.
