A beautiful, 19th century, Derbyshire staddle stone.
It’s extremely rare to find them in this great size and with a square holed top, rather than rounded. It has a lovely shape and is covered in wonderful moss and lichen.
The top comes off the base for transit. It has a very slight hairline crack on one of the corners, as shown on the pictures, but it’s very sturdy.
