A rare pair of terracotta, barnacle pots, in wonderful condition. Used by Portuguese fishermen in the 1800s.
Each pot is unique, covered in beautiful crustacean patina, built up over years. You can almost smell the sea on the rope, still intact, which would have been used to lower them onto the seabed.
Perfect as part of a coastal garden or as a marine artefact in the home.
Portuguese, 19th Century
Material: Terracotta
Dimensions: H: 24cm / W: 27cm / D: 33cm (each pot)
